GRADES 8-12 Handbuild Pottery Class / Masks Event Description

The art of making masks began some 9000 years ago. From that moment, masks were made and used in thousands of different ways and became inseparable from our lives. There are as many different types of masks as there are cultures. In this class, using hand-building techniques, create your own 3 dimensional mask from clay. Use your hands and sculpting tools to make your mask come alive. Fee includes clay, glazes and firing.
