VERDE VALLEY WINE FESTIVAL Event Reviews

Number 1- I was shocked there were no Ubers …anywhere. We walked here and hoped to grab an uber back to downtown. Nope. None. While not the fault of the festival, I thought it was super strange to not have anything available if people over indulged. It was so hot that we just busted out our tastes and left within an hour. The tastings were tiny. Very tiny. And only 6 tickets-with no ability to buy more tickets. That is strange in my opinion. I’ve never been to a wine event where I can’t buy more wine. I wish it had more shade…the shaded areas were taken very quickly. Oh. And BIG pet peeve…people who waited to purchase their tickets at the event jumped ahead of the line, while those of use who pre paid had to wait in a very long line to check in. We won’t make that mistake again. The entry was super bottlenecked as well. They all told us to have IDs out but nobody checked them. Not sure if it was worth it, to be honest. What happened to cottonwood being a cute little wine tasting town? Seems like so many have left.
