Time: 6:00 pm

Cost: $5.00 registration + $20.00 entry fee (for each category entered)

General Admission:

$8.00 (bought online)

$10.00 at the door 

In an effort to spotlight and celebrate the youth in our communities, Aiming for Healthy Families is hosting The North Mississippi Youth Talent of the Year competition. Young people in grades 6 - 12 within the greater North Mississippi area will get to compete in the following 7 categories for the opportunity to be named the North Mississippi Visual Artist of the Year or the North Mississippi Performing Artist of the Year. All participants will receive a t-shirt, contestant admission, and one other general admission. Runners up will receive medallions and ribbons. Top scores will receive a plaque and a cash prize.

- Dance

- Instrumental

- 3D Art 

- Painting/Mixed Media

- Drawing (Color)

- Drawing (B&W)

Students may enter multiple categories (pay additional entry fee of $20.00 for each additional category)

Important Dates

• Early registration ends May 1, 2022

• Late registration - size of shirt might not be guaranteed

• All artwork should be received at the Aiming for Healthy Families office at 609 North Fillmore Street, Corinth, MS by Friday, May 13, 2022

• All music (format mp3) for performing arts needs to be turned in to patrick@corinthcoliseum.com by Friday, May 13, 2022

• No registration after May 13, 2022

• No “day of” registration

• Performing arts categories are limited to a TOTAL of 30 entries

Awards

Grades 6 - 8 will compete separately from grades 9 - 12 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of the 7 categories. A middle school winner and high school winner will be awarded a Visual and Performing Arts Talent winner and receive a plaque and $50.00. The overall Visual Artist of the Year and Performing Artist of the Year will come from all grades and receive a $100 prize and a plaque.
