BMAC INDOOR at Vortex Optics

BMAC Indoor is a two stage event testing archers strength, stamina and endurance along with their shooting capabilities in high pressure simulated hunting scenarios.  The ultimate indoor archery challenge for the hunter athlete!  This event will be capped at 60 participants.    

Stages

Beast Challenge Course

Competitors will complete three qualifying rounds in heats of five competitors in the 100 yard indoor range.  The specific details will be announced at the competitor meeting but expect to have a little running, box/sandbag work, hoisting and shooting!  Expect similar challenges to previous events but a different layout and target distances.  Each round will be approximately 5 minutes in length depending on your fitness level. 

3D Course

Competitors will shoot a 20 target course in the 50 yard indoor range.  You should expect to shoot out to 50 yards. 

Scoring for targets: Heart = -15 seconds, Lung = 0, Body = +20 seconds, Miss = +15 seconds.  

Championship Round

Categories with 6 or more competitors the top 5 will move onto the championship round.  If categories have 5 or less competitors the champion will be decided by the fastest time from the qualifying rounds and 3D score.  Competitors Beast Course time and 3D Course time will be accumulated to determine the top 5.

Competitors are responsible for their own archery equipment, optics, backpack and other gear.  It is advised you bring at least eight arrows.

Awards

Medals will be awarded to top 3 finishers in categories of six or more competitors.  Categories of five or less the 1st place finisher will be awarded.  

Order of Events

7am - Doors Open/Check In/25 yard practice range open

8am - Mandatory Competitor Meeting

9am - Men's Open will start on the 3D course while all other divisions start their Beast Course qualifiers

Noon - Men's Open qualifying rounds all other divisions shooting 3D

3pm - Championship Rounds

4pm - Awards

Will run ahead of schedule whenever possible.  

Please Note: Due to Covid we ask that you limit the amount of spectators that you bring with.  We also ask that if you are sick or have been around people that are sick please stay home.  Temperature will be checked at door.  Vortex ranges are state of the art with an air filtration system that moves the air through the ranges at 75fps which means new air is brought into the range every 1-4 minutes depending on the range.  We are under a statewide mandate to wear masks indoors.  You will not be required to wear one while competing and shooting.
