Utah Shooters Marksman Challenge by Next Shot Precision

The Utah Shooters Marksman Challenge by Next Shot Precision is a long range gas gun match focused on accuracy and speed. The match will be held Saturday September 20th. The match will consist of 10-12 unique stages. Stages will include shooting from different positions, barricades and even from inside a building - may include unsupported fire. A shooting bag and bipod will be very useful for this match. Shooters will be allowed to observe their squad mates on the clock. Course of fire will require roughly 100 impacts and is scored on a time-plus basis. Par time for each stage will be two minutes. Shooters will have unlimited rounds to successfully engage the required targets. Any failure to engage a target will result in a time penalty added to the raw time for the stage. The lowest cumulative time after addition of penalties will win the match.

Since rounds are unlimited on each stage, it is difficult to recommend an exact round count, but 300 rounds would nearly guarantee enough to shoot the match without limiting rounds. 180-200 rounds will likely be sufficient.
Targets will range between 100 and 850 yards. 75% of targets will be between 300 and 600.

Stages will include props never before seen in public Utah match, including shooting from inside a building with a snipers nest, shooting from and around a vehicle, and so much more!

There are two divisions to choose from in this match. There are no caliber/cartridge restrictions for either division.

The SPR/DMR division: there are no magnification or barrel length restrictions.

The general purpose rifle division: this division requires a rifle barrel that is less than 16.5" (not including muzzle device or suppressor) and an optic with a max magnification at or below 10x and no parallax adjustment. This division is intended to be an opportunity to shoot your "go to" general purpose rifle - topped with an LPVO style optic.

Gate will open at 6:45 am. Range will go hot for zero confirmation at 7:00am. Stage and safety brief will start at 9:00am. Stages will go hot at 9:30am. We hope to finish the course of fire, awards and prize table by 4:30 pm.

The prize table is shaping up to be a great one! Our investment to make it so and thanks to many generous sponsors have come together in support of this match to provide over $10,000 worth of prizes on the prize table! We will have rifles, pistols, suppressors, bags, gear, tripods, Kestrels, barrels, rails, SO MUCH STUFF. It will be walked in order of overall match placement. There will also be several random draw prizes in addition to the prize table. More sponsors are continuing to donate to the event. This match will be squad RO'd. Each squad will be given a timer and tablet to enter stage times for their shooters. If you have a tripod and observation equipment, please bring it. Be an asset for your squad to keep things moving efficiently.

- When coming from the north - take exit 242 off of I-15.
- At the four-way intersection by the Chevron turn left.
- follow Mona road for about 4 miles then take a right onto a dirt road.
- Take the first left after your cross the rail road tracks.- Follow that dirt road until you reach the range on your right. FOLLOW THE SPONSOR FLAGS ON THE ROAD.

The last part dirt road can be a little rough depending on the time of year. A car (sedan) can make it if you go slow and the road is dry. Otherwise, a higher clearance vehicle is recommended.
