2024 Show Schedule

Location: Located at 495 E 5300 South, the amphitheater is tucked between the cottonwoods and the creek in Murray Park, providing an intimate concert experience and open-air. 

Seating: New stadium seats (with cup holders) installed 2023! 

Parking: There are two parking lots available; just southeast of the venue off 5300 South and the northwest in front of the Murray Parks & Recreation Office (296 E Murray Park Ave). Both parking lots connect to the Amphitheater by a footpath. Additional ADA parking is located to the north of the amphitheater and is accessed by a driveway south of the Murray Parks & recreation Office.

Concessions & Outside Food: Our concessions typically serve a variety of snacks and drinks (no meals) and is located next to the Ticket Office. You are welcome to bring your own food into the venue, however, alcoholic beverages and large coolers are not allowed per amphitheater policy. Smoking is also prohibited at the venue or within Murray Park.

Amphitheater Ticket Office: The ticket office at the amphitheater generally opens 30 minutes before performances begin on the night of the shows only and may remain open until intermission. The gates open approximately 30 minutes before performances begins. (They may be opened sooner depending on the event)

Accessibility

Additional handicapped parking is located to the north of the Amphitheater and is accessed by a driveway just to the south of the Murray Parks Office. ADA Parking is located on the west side of the Amphitheater. The Amphitheater includes ramps at the gates that lead towards the main level seating and the upper level seating. The Parks & Recreation Office will use its best efforts to accommodate the disabled. Special accommodations for the hearing or visually impaired will be made upon request directed to the Parks and Recreation Office at 801-264-2614 at least three working days prior to the event.

Rain-Out Policy

Please note with the covered stage roof, we will continue some shows in the Amphitheater if rain is minimal - so bring an umbrella if needed. If weather is extreme for the audience, we generally will not determine any kind of decision until after 6 P.M. You may call (801) 264-2638 or call/text (801) 822-2339 if this situation occurs.

In the event of a "rain-out", tickets can be exchanged at the Parks Office or used at the gate for entrance to another performance of the same show. A "rain-out" is defined as any performance canceled prior to the intermission. If using at the gate, please arrive 30 minutes prior to the show to secure available seating. If you are not able to attend another performance of the rain-out production, you must present your ticket/stub at the Murray Parks Office for another show of equal or lesser value. NO REFUNDS ALLOWED.

History

Formed in 1977, the Murray Arts Council produced their first annual musical, South Pacific, on a temporary stage built in Murray Park in 1980. Through community support and fundraising, the Murray Park Amphitheater was built by 1985. The Amphitheater underwent a remodel in 2016-2017 which included the addition of a roof over the stage, changing rooms and a green room.
