Join us as we celebrate our river heritage at this years JWP River Festival July 26th & 27th at the Dinosaurland Courtyard (Uintah County Library Park -- 204 E 100 N, Vernal, UT 84078)

155 years ago, John Wesley Powell braved the unknown and explored the wild Green and Colorado River. JWP with only one arm traveled down the Green River through present day Dinosaur National Monument in a wooden boat. Against perilous odds, including losses of boats and supplies, near-drownings, and eventual departures of several crew members, the voyage produced the first detailed description of much of the previously unexplored canyon country of the Colorado Plateau.

Today, more than ever, people enjoy coming to Uintah County for the GREAT fishing that is abundant in our many rivers, and they love the thrill and adventure of white water rafting down the Green and Yampa River.

Come play cornhole with us as we celebrate the rich river history and culture in Uintah County Friday & Saturday! Enjoy live blue grass music as you toss your bags! Shop at the vendors and play in the kayak pond in between games.

Check-in & Warm Up: 5:30pm- 6:30pm

Bags start flying at 6:30pm 

$25 per Player to Register 

Social Division:

1st Place - $200

2nd Place - $100

3rd Place - $50

Competitive Division:

1st Place - $400

2nd Place - $200

3rd Place - $100

Saturday, July 27th - Doubles Tournament 

Check in & Warm Up: 5:30pm- 6:30pm

Cornhole will be played on the grass at the Dinosaurland Courtyard (the Uintah County Library Park - 204 E 100 N, Vernal, UT) Please bring lawn chairs & canopy's.
