JOYE Annual Gala

Each year, we host a gala as our signature fundraiser.  As with all donations to JOYE, the proceeds from our annual gala will go directly to provide the funding and tools necessary for students to succeed not only in the classroom, but outside of the classroom as well.  On Saturday, November 6^th, we will JOYEfully celebrate a decade of service to youth excellence.  You are cordially invited to sponsor our annual gala, as well as attend either in person or virtually. We look forward to celebrating the past, present and future! 

This year, we are celebrating our 10^th anniversary.  As we look back across the past ten years, we are proud of our efforts and growth.  Some of our most notable achievements are:

In Collin County, TX:

o   JOYE Tech Program – free technology, STEAM, and life skills training for children

o   Providing education assistance for over 100 students

•   Tutoring and mentoring
•   Prepaid meal plans
•   School supplies, clothing, and hygiene products 

In The Gambia and Kenya:

o   Sponsoring over 500 students across more than 35 communities

o   Community outreach programs benefiting 3,000+ families

o   Partnering with communities to provide access to clean water by building wells

o   Providing vegetable and fruit seeds for nourishment to schools and students’ families

Thanks to support from our generous donors, we accomplished all of this and more.  As a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, we rely on contributions from corporate sponsorships and individual donors. However, like many organizations, JOYE has been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.  Donations have decreased while the needs of our students and communities have increased.   Due to this imbalance, JOYE is currently at-risk of meeting our fundraising goals for continuing to provide the same level of educational funding and holistic support for those we already serve, much less for any new programs. We look forward to your participation in our gala fundraiser!
