WE Run- Cherokee

WE Run is a Lakota-based after-school running mentorship program that pairs 3^rd and 4^th graders with 5^th and 6^th grade mentors.  Last year our program had a successful pilot and we would like to invite your child or children to participate this year!

Both boys and girls are invited to participate and the program will begin on Wednesday, February 19th and go until Wednesday, April 22nd.  For 10 weeks, WE Run meets twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays, with character-, self-esteem-, and mentorship-building activities paired with physical activity, specifically running.  At the end of the program, there will be a local 5k the participants will run in on Sunday, April 26th.  Pick-up is at 4:30

There is a cost to the program ($130 for program + a brand-new pair of name brand running shoes or $100 for the program w/out the shoes) and there will be scholarship/reduced cost opportunities for those that qualify.
