No Child Wet Behind - Boston 2018 Event Description
On Saturday, May 19, 2018, Boston Birth Associates will host the 1st Annual No Child Wet Behind Diaper Drive and Family Fun Day at 800 W Cummings Park in Woburn, MA. In addition to a diaper derby, children’s activities, local vendors, amazing raffles and more, this community event will bring together our many supporters and partners in order to raise awareness about the many babies in need of clean, dry diapers throughout the North Shore + Greater Boston area.
One in three mothers in America struggles to provide their babies with clean diapers. Unfortunately there is very little help or public resources to alleviate this problem. Food assistance programs do not extend to diaper purchases, most licensed daycare facilities require disposable diapers, and most laundromats do not allow cloth diapers to be washed there due to sanitary concerns. This can lead to babies being kept in dirty diapers for extended periods of time, causing both physical and emotional suffering for so many little ones.
Boston Birth Associates has partnered with Neighbors in Need and Salem Family Resources Success by 6 to raise awareness for these babies and families. All diapers and a portion of the proceeds will benefit these amazing organizations. We hope you will join us for this very special event!
DIAPER DERBY PARTICIPANTS: Participants can be any age up to 12 months old. Must be able to crawl independently but must not be able to walk yet.
Cost of derby entry is one box of diapers (please bring the day of event).
