Registration Details:

• Pairs Category: 10 openings 
• Foursomes Category: 10 openings 

Each registration includes a 300-piece puzzle that you get to take home and a commemorative lapel pin and ribbon for each team member. Besides bragging rights, the top three fastest times in each category will win a $50, $30 or $20 gift card to a local toy & puzzle store!

RULES AND LOGISTICS:

•    Please arrive by 3:45 PM to find your designated table and be seated at Herriman's Rosecrest Pavilion.
•    Announcements and rules will be made at 4:00 PM. The City may dispose of the places of the participants who have not taken their place or have not appeared by the start of the competition, without providing any compensation or refund to the participants.
•    There will be one competition of 20 teams (10 per category), each with a table and chairs that will be provided by the City.
•    For Foursomes, teams must be composed of a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 4 but will be at a disadvantage against teams of 4 in your category.
•    No changes in team members will be allowed once the competition begins.
•    All teams will compete with the same puzzle design. To ensure fairness, the puzzle boxes will remain sealed within opaque bags and placed on each table. Participants are not permitted to handle, unseal, or open the bags until the official start of the event. Once the timer starts, participants may then remove their puzzle boxes from the bags and begin assembling.
•    Pairs/teams try to put the puzzle together faster than the other teams
•    1st, 2nd, 3rd awards will be given for both categories (pairs and foursome teams) based on time given by the judges/moderators.
•    There will be no outside assistance permitted while working on the puzzle and guests are not allowed to distract or approach the team tables when the competition is in progress. Any outside help during the competition may be grounds for disqualification.
•    When a team is close to finishing the puzzle, one team member will raise their hand to signal a judge to take note of the time at the moment of completion. The judge, after considering the correct assembly, will write down the time spent in the record and will proceed to deliver it to the main judges table.
•    If you’ve completed your puzzle, please stay seated and at your table so that you don’t distract other teams until we have the top 5 finishers in each category.
•    Matching team shirts or outfits are encouraged to add to the fun!
•    Participants younger than 10 must be accompanied by an adult on the same team.
•    All the jigsaw puzzles used in the competitions are the property of the participants once the competition is finished.
•    In the case of lost pieces, 10 seconds will be added for each lost piece to the final time. If there are 2 or more adjacent and missing pieces, no penalty will be applied as it is considered a manufacturing error.
•    If due to a manufacturing defect the puzzle does not have the correct number of pieces and it causes damage to the participant’s time, the City may take the necessary measures to correct the damage caused without undermining the rights of other participants.
•    When pairs are using shared tables, it is not allowed to invade the area of the adjacent participant or hinder their construction, disqualification may result if a participant seriously hinders another participant’s progress.
•    Registrants accepts that their name will appear in the list of participants of the Herriman City event, rankings and any other related digital or printed publication and authorizes Herriman City to use their image in photographs and videos or any other recorded media during the competitions in which the applicant appears, for promotion of the Herriman City event.
•    The decisions of the judges during the contests are final.
