WELCOME TO WOMEN IN TRAINING!
2019 Program starts at 6:00 pm on Monday, April 22
Meet at NE corner of Hoffmantown Church parking lot (at Ventura and Harper NE)
Women of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in this 10-week program, from beginners to intermediate and advanced runners, run-walkers, and walkers.
Mentors from the Albuquerque Road Runners Club lead track, hill, trail, and road workouts designed to help new and returning participants improve form, endurance, and strength.
Group sessions are held two times per week during the training program.
WIT Program Includes:
- 10 weeks of training with two group workouts per week: WEDNESDAY EVENING (speed or hills) and SATURDAY MORNING (long run or walk in various locations)
- private Facebook group with training schedules and details
- a WIT tech-fabric shirt
- 5K training plan and guidance from ARR mentors
- clinics on running/walking training (including gait), gear, nutrition, yoga, and more
- WIT After-Party
GOAL RACE: ARR's Women's Distance Festival 5K Run and Walk on June 30, 2019. Note: entry fee for race is not included in program fee.
PROGRAM FEE: $50 for ARR Members and $65 for non-ARR Members
