Mighty Steelheads Event Description
The Mighty Steelheads are a multi-genre band based in Crescent City California.
Playing music from Jones to The Stones!
Vern Monnett grew up in LaVerkin and is returning to perform for friends and family with his band. He
began working as the pedal steel guitarist for Tex Mex legend Freddy Fender in 1993. He worked with
Fender until Fender's death in 2005. This collaboration would result in recording two albums and
worldwide touring to Europe, Japan, Canada, Australia and the United States. He has even done an
cameo in "The Beverly Hillbillies" and can be seen playing guitar behind Dolly Pardon.
