About GUNSHOW Charity Events
The Gunshow Charity began in September 2018 after the death of our son, Gunnar Shirven. Gunnar’s spirit of kindness and joy lead us to planning fun public events as a way to raise money that would meet local needs within our community, while simultaneously bringing awareness to suicide prevention and support for surviving family.
We are excited EVERY year to help meet unique needs within our community. Danville’s Ellis Park will be the recipient of this year‘s donations once again, with the goal of completing several projects that will benefit everyone in our community. Honoring our son through giving has been a blessing and offered healing to our family. We are immensely thankful to our past, present, and future sponsors and to those who attend our Gunshow Charity Events!
