SPRA Entertainment Showcase - 2023

SPRA Showcase Terms and Conditions:

Volunteer Committee:  The SPRA Showcase Committee is comprised of volunteers who are also full time park and recreation professionals.  We ask that you respect our time and only send inquiries to the Showcase email at spra.showcase@gmail.com .  Emails will be responded to within 5 business days.  The SPRA Showcase Committee members will only respond to inquiries we receive via the SPRA Showcase email.  Anyone attempting to contact committee members via personal emails/social media or business phone numbers will be directed to the SPRA Showcase email.  

Selection Process:  A panel of recreation professionals selects acts to perform based on specific criteria that is appropriate and suitable for park and recreation agencies.  Based on 4 criteria, the panel meticulously considers each applicant through a voting process.  The Showcase Committee receives 150+ applications with requests to perform, but can only select up to 14 acts to showcase.  Acts who are selected to perform will be sent an offer letter and request for additional information at least 45 days prior to the event. Please do not e-mail inquiries about your acts acceptance to perform.

Solicitation:  Vendors may only distribute material to attendees inside the Showcase exhibit hall.  Signage is not allowed on the Prairie Lakes Community Center Property.  Any materials distributed outside of the exhibit hall will be discarded and the vendor will prohibited from participating in future SPRA events.

Professionalism:  The Showcase Committee Members work diligently throughout the year to ensure the event is well-run and beneficial for everyone involved.  The mission of Showcase is to provide a positive experience for professionals looking to book vendors, by creating a welcoming venue to obtain materials to help make an informed decision about booking professional entertainment for their community.  The Showcase Committee invites and accepts vendors who not only are talented and professional, but courteous and respectful.  All Committee members work for agencies who book acts every year, so we are searching for vendors who are easy to interact with and do business with.  

The Committee will only approve showcase spots to those vendors displaying professionalism on all levels and reserves the right to turn down any applicant not adhering to quality standards.

Restrictions:  The SPRA Showcase and Prairie Lakes Community Center does not allow animals (with the exception of service pets).  Alcohol is not permitted and smoking is allowed in designated areas.  

Equipment:  SPRA is not liable or financially responsible for any damages that may be caused to equipment, vehicles or other personal property of vendors.

 

WAIVER: I, the undersigned participant (and my parent or guardian if I am younger than 18 years of age), intending to be legally bound, do hereby forever release and waive any and all rights, claims, and actions for damages that we, our heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns may have, or that may hereafter accrue against any and all persons, organizations, and other entities associated with the event, including, but not limited to Stride Events, sponsors, affiliates, volunteers, SPRA Entertainment Showcase, and individual SPRA Entertainment Showcase organizers, arising out of or in connection with my involvement before, during, or after the event.

I verify that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained to participate in this event and I assume the risks involved in this activity. I further attest that I will be mindful of hazards around the event, and hold said sponsors and organizers blameless in any harm that may happen.

I consent to the collection and use of my Personal Information as contained in the Privacy Policy. I also give my permission for the free use of my name and/or pictures in telecasts, broadcasts, newspapers, posters, advertising, etc.

I also acknowledge understanding that the charge to my card will show up as Stride Events I acknowledge that the online processing fees and charitable donations are non-refundable. I also acknowledge that any charitable donations will have 4.97% withheld from the donation to pay credit card and administrative costs.

Stride Events shall not be liable to you for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages including, but not limited to, loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible loses. Stride Events does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any information contained in, or provided in conjunction with the http://www.strideevents.com website. Stride Events is not responsible for any omissions or inaccuracies, or for the results obtained from this information.

Stride Events facilitates registration for various events, some of which allow participants under the age of thirteen (13). We require a submission of birth date for all registration entries. For children under the age of thirteen (13), parental or guardian consent is required.

You agree that the statutes and laws of the State of Utah, USA, will apply to all matters relating to this Agreement and Waiver. You irrevocably consent that exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute with Stride Events relating to this Agreement and Waiver resides in the courts of Utah, and you further agree and expressly consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction in the courts of Utah in conjunction with any such dispute including any claim involving Stride Events .
